This website is part of my diploma project RANDOMATIC at SAE zürich.
The world is a mix of randomly supplied resources and interaction. This is all this project is about: mix some random in and let the user interact.
The intention was to create an entertainment tool that based on random behaviors and user interaction should be able to deliver a unique result every time. Of course, the more resources available, the more combination possibilities available.
The project consists of a an interactive Flash CD-ROM, offering a series of tools enclosing algorithms that are based on randomness.
The user interface can be customized - the look and feel is dynamically changed - it basically functions like a stylesheet for flash.
The user is provided every time with 2 designs and gets to choose - the designs are chosen randomly from a data base.
Some of the tools are based furthermore on the chosen theme, others are independent but
they function however on a random basis.
RANDOMATIC encloses:
- a random poetry tool- (poems are being saved online in user's profile)
- a random art tool (generative art and fractal growing trees) as well as a paint application
- a sound toy
- an interactive conversation tool
Linking some of the assests to a database improves the flexibility of the project - the more assets available, the more combinations possible.The users' choices are saved dynamically online.
The project is open to collaboration and designs are accepted.
